If you have a dog or know someone who owns one, his story could save a dog’s life. Brock Tatge, a Minnesoa resident, was playing fetch nearby Prairie Lake with his dog Copper when he noticed that the dog suddenly collapsed. Copper was in distress and shortly thereafter died.
The veterinarian determined that the dog ingested blue-green algae and died from poisoning. Not all algae are harmful, but the toxins in the blue-green algae are deadly.
