There are certain things in life that we automatically take for granted. We are never really taught these things, and perhaps we are too embarrassed to ask, so we just muddle on thinking we are doing the correct thing, until someone many years later, lets us into the secret, and we realise we have been doing it wrong all along.
Well, I have just had one of those face palm moments when I discovered this and I am guessing I won’t be the only one. When you buy a set of earrings, sometimes they come with a little circular piece of see through plastic. For the last twenty years, I believed that they were a part of the earring, and designed to hold the earring in place.
So imagine my surprise when I read that the clear plastic part is purely for packaging purposes, and not intended nor designed to be worn on your person. What a total idiot I felt, but upon speaking to other ladies it seems I was not alone, and many of us have been making this same mistake. And then the question is how do you safely remove that plastic part? Well here is a brilliant little video that explains everything. Hope you benefitted from it as much as I did, and please pass it on to your friends to prevent them from repeating the same mistake as me.
