Shrimp is a delicacy and many of us enjoy eating it but there is something hiding underneath the surface that you need to know. Although the shrimp that we purchase at the supermarket may be delicious, it comes from Asian countries and in many cases, from slave labor!
When people in those countries find themselves out of work, they are promised good wages from the companies that clean and package the shrimp. Once they are offshore working, they are forced to do so 20 hours per day and if they try to escape or refuse to do anything, they are beaten and threatened with death!
