One of the most important things in the kitchen is efficiency: It’s efficiency in terms of time, ingredients (no wasted ingredients), and in terms of tasks. And I must admit it, I’m not efficient at peeling carrots.
Most people peel carrots over a trash can so the peels goes into the trash. If you’re peeling them this way, you’re probably peeling them in one direction only, instead of using both peeler’s blades. That means that you’re doing the work twice with only one side of the peeler.
