At work we often get sent in courses, and if you are anything like me you complain and moan about having to attend. I know how to do my job, so why take me away from all the busy work I need to do, to make me sit at a boring presentation that I know all the answers to anyway? That’s the sort of thing I hear lots of people say, and I will admit I am just as guilty.
But sometimes on these courses, you learn something you never knew, something so obvious that it makes the whole day worthwhile.
Most of us have probably used a stapler before and yet we never went on a course to learn how to use it. But stupid as that might sound, I have just learned something mind blowing about how to use a stapler, that I never knew, even though I been using one for over 40 years. The little metal part at the bottom of the stapler that you push down onto whilst stapling rotates and I never understood why.
