Furniture is not only something that we sit on, it is also a part of our home and a major part of the decor. For many of us, the furniture makes a broad statement about our lifestyle and at times, it may be passed down from one generation to the next. That is especially true of wooden furniture, as it has much more personality and typically, a longer lifespan than the fabric pieces that are often found in the home.
Unfortunately, wood tends to age poorly and it may begin to accumulate some water stains over the course of time. These stains can be a real detraction from the beauty of the piece, and more than one person has ended up taking a piece of furniture out to the curb, simply because of discoloration. Fortunately, you don’t have to do it.
You may not know this, but removing water stains from wood is a fairly simple process. The only thing you need to do so is a damp cloth and a tube of regular toothpaste! You start by smearing toothpaste with your finger over the stain and then follow the additional instructions in this video.
