Ironing is probably my least favourite chore. There is no getting away from it, it has to be done, but every day as you iron, and you see that huge pile get smaller, you just know that tomorrow the pile is going to increase again as everyone picks out their new clothes for the following day.
It really is the perpetual job that never ever goes away. So if we were able to discover a way to cut our ironing time in half then that would be a pretty good result I am sure you would agree. Well, that’s what this beautiful little hack we have found is going to do.
Now, this may not be an entirely new hack, I am sure my grandmother used to do it with her ironing, but sometimes we forget about this tips and so a quick reminder is always good. This tip uses the reflective qualities of tin foil, to really speed up your ironing. In essence, you remove the cover from your ironing board, cover the base with tin foil, and then replace the cover. Now when you steam your iron the hot steam goes through your clothes, bounces back from the tin foil and goes through your clothes again making those pesky creases just drop right out. Because your clothes are getting a double dose of steam that’s why your ironing time gets cut in half. Simple but certainly worth the little time and effort it takes to set up. Let us know your results in the comments below, after all, every little helps.
