There are many different types of fruits but the simple banana tends to be a favorite for most people. Not only is it a delicious food, it comes wrapped in its own wrapper and they are quite healthy as well. They could be eaten on their own or used in a variety of recipes. After you learn this simple trick, you will use bananas more often in the kitchen and save time as well.
Let’s face it, slicing bananas is not difficult but if you want to speed things up and keep your slices uniform, the easiest way to do so is with a baking cooling rack. You simply put the rack over a bowl, peel half of the banana and then push the the banana through the rack to get the perfect slices you need. Of course, this slicing method is not limited to bananas. As a matter of fact, any type of soft fruit or vegetable could easily be sliced this way. Off the top of my head, I’m thinking that avocados would be a perfect choice. What would you slice in the kitchen today?
